Bafo and I, affectionately known as Yogi, embarked on an extraordinary odyssey that transcends the boundaries of ordinary exploration. Our vision: is to circumnavigate the entirety of Croatia's stunning coastal archipelago, which boasts a breathtaking array of 1244 islands, islets, rocks, and reefs.
Among these, 78 are classified as islands, 524 as islets, and 642 as rocks and reefs, each holding its unique allure and mystique. Thus was born our ambitious endeavor, aptly christened the "Lifetime Expedition," a title that encapsulates our commitment to embarking on this journey with no sense of haste or urgency, but rather a profound reverence for the landscapes we traverse and the experiences we encounter along the way.
As we navigate our way through this maritime labyrinth, our journey unfolds with a sense of purpose and wonder. To date, we have charted our course to approximately 150 of these remarkable destinations, with our focus primarily on islands and islets, interspersed with the occasional exploration of rocky outcrops that dot the coastline. Yet, our exploration goes beyond mere cartography; it is a journey of discovery, a quest to unveil the hidden treasures and untold stories concealed within each nook and cranny of these remote isles.
Our approach is meticulous and comprehensive. We leave no bay unexplored, no beach unvisited, and no cove uncharted. Every inlet, every promontory, every inlet holds the promise of adventure and discovery, beckoning us to delve deeper into its secrets. This commitment to thorough exploration entails an estimated total distance of approximately 4,500 kilometers—a testament to the vastness of the coastal landscape and the boundless opportunities it presents for discovery and adventure.
