Our sea kayak story began in the summer of 2007. Our very first expedition group arrived from the USA — full of curiosity, excitement, and trust in a company that, at the time, didn’t even own a single kayak. We borrowed boats for that first season and managed to run just two trips. It was modest, uncertain, and full of improvisation — but it was real.
What happened next surprised even us. Before the 2008 season even began, we had already sold it out. The only problem? We still didn’t have kayaks of our own.
We approached banks with our plans and bookings, but no one believed in the idea of sea kayak expeditions in Croatia. It simply sounded too risky. In the end, thanks to my grandmother — who has since passed away — we put our family house under mortgage to secure the loan. It was a huge leap of faith, one we will never forget.
Our first kayaks arrived just one week before the start of our official season. By then, I had already built a friendship with Toni Prijon, founder of Prijon Kayaks, after buying a kayak from him back in 2004. When it was time to deliver our first fleet, Toni personally brought the kayaks to my home — a gesture that meant more than just business. It felt like a partnership built on shared belief.

Me (Yogi) & Toni Prijon
We started with 11 kayaks. Very quickly, reality hit us — we had to sell one almost immediately to make the first loan repayment. That left us with 7 single kayaks and 3 doubles, just enough to run our first proper season.
From those uncertain beginnings, built on borrowed boats, family trust, and determination, our fleet slowly grew. Today, we proudly operate nearly 80 Prijon sea kayaks, offering a wide selection of models suited for expedition paddling, coaching programs, multi-day journeys, and customized adventures along the Adriatic coast.
Every kayak in our fleet carries part of that original story — of risk, belief, friendship, and a grandmother’s courage.
